Throughout the year the Foundation holds a number of fundraising events. These events involve fun and fitness. All or part proceeds go directly to Lions Save-Sight Foundation. Become involved, organize a work, family or school group and support the LSSF.

Perth Half Marathon
Held in June each year 
Run for Sight!
Make a note to be part of this great 5 km fun run incorporating the WA State Half Marathon. It takes place on a June Sunday morning at the Burswood Water Sports Centre, Burswood.

Part proceeds are donated to the Lions Save-Sight Foundation to support research at the Lions Eye Institute into eye disease and blindness.

Walk for Sight
Sunday, November 2, 2008
Shed some kilos and get involved in the fight against blindness. This annual event is held at Perry Lakes Reserve followed by a fantastic free sausage sizzle put on by the Lions Club of Floreat. One circuit of the course is 5 kms  - most walkers do two! Organize a team with your family and workmates email our office for details.

Seniors ’Have a Go Day’ Burswood Park

Get the latest on health, life, fitness and leisure at this wonderful event for Seniors.
LSSF provides free public screenings for Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy and checks for eye disease. Come along to Burswood Park, be early and stay young.

Awards
The Tom Cameron Award
This award is to honour the late Lion Tom Cameron whose passion and dedication was at the forefront of the Sight programme in West Australia. If you know a Lion or member of the public whose work in health deserves recognition you can purchase this award for $300, all funds generated, go towards research and saving sight. Call or email our office for details. A great way to recognize a humanitarian effort.
